[CALL FOR PAPERS] Monograph: "Constitution, State, Politics. Poland, Europe & the world"

The Center for American & European Studies Publishing Press is pleased to announce a call for papers for a bilingual, peer-reviewed, multi-author monograph titled "Constitution, State, Politics. Poland, Europe & the World". The monograph will be edited by an Editorial Committee composed of Professor Maksymilian Stanulewicz (Faculty of Law and Administration, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan), Dr. Julia Szwiec (Institute of Law, Cracow University of Economics), and Jakub Sekuła, M.A. (Center for American Studies). ➡️THEME OF THE MULTI-AUTHOR MONOGRAPH The main objective of the monograph is to conduct an in-depth study of issues related to constitutionalism, political systems, political and legal doctrines, theory and philosophy of state and law, and political processes in Poland, Europe, and globally. Authors may approach these topics from both contemporary and historical perspectives. During the creative process, authors of the texts (monograph chapters) have the opportunity to utilize a wide range of research methods. These include, but are not limited to: legal and administrative analysis, political science research, historical comparative studies, political discourse analysis, case study analysis, and sociological studies of political processes. At this stage of monograph creation, we are not specifically narrowing the research scope, which allows authors to address issues from the broadly understood fields of constitutional and administrative law, political science, history of political thought, history and philosophy of state and law, and political sociology, in accordance with their individual competencies and scholarly interests. We believe in the freedom of academic discussion and do not censor works. We encourage authors to tackle controversial topics and present their own standpoints. Original and unconventional texts will always be appreciated by the monograph's Editors. ➡️WHO MAY SUBMIT? We invite all researchers interested in the broad issues of constitutionalism, statehood, political systems, and politics in Polish, European, and global contexts to submit texts for publication in the monograph. All external reviewers have obtained at least a habilitated doctoral degree. Each review is carried out via a double-blind review process. In line with this principle, neither the Authors nor the Reviewer know each other's identity until the monograph is published. The number of characters in each chapter should be between 20,000-30,000 (including spaces, footnotes, and bibliography). ➡️LANGUAGE OF YOUR TEXT We accept texts written in English and Polish. At the Center for American & European Studies Publishing Press, proofreading of all English texts is conducted by highly qualified native English speakers (alumni of renowned American universities), who have academic experience in the subject area of the text. ➡️POINTS FOR MONOGRAPH CHAPTER AUTHORSHIP For authorship of a chapter in the monograph, each author will receive 5 points, in accordance with §12 par. 4 pt 3 in conjunction with §12 par. 2 pt 2 and § 8 pt 4 of the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of February 22, 2019, on the evaluation of the quality of scientific activity (Dz.U. 2019 poz. 392, as amended). By December 1, 2025, prepare a 200-300 word abstract of your text and send it to the e-mail address: [email protected] (please double-check this e-mail; errors will result in us not receiving your e-mail!) Within 3 days, you will receive feedback as to whether the subject of your text has been approved. The abstract must include: author's name, academic affiliation, e-mail address, and phone number. Simultaneously, please add the above-mentioned e-mail address to your contacts and mark it as "safe" (to avoid receiving our emails in the SPAM folder). 2. The model declaration and agreement from points (5) and (6) can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/42394hzz ➡️COST OF PUBLICATION OF A CHAPTER IN THE MONOGRAPH 199 EUR - publication of a chapter in the on-line version of the monograph (an e-book with an official ISBN number, which has all the parametric qualities and benefits of a traditional printed version), publicly accessible under Open Access policy. Note: please add 7 EUR for each use of graphic content (tables, charts, diagrams, and maps). Printed (traditional) version of the book is available upon explicit request made by the author and costs 69 EUR for the first copy and 29 EUR for each additional copy (this covers shipping costs within the territory of the European Union; additional shipping fees may apply for shipping outside of the European Union). All of our monographs are distributed using the non-commercial open access policy that provides public access to knowledge. The Creative Commons license ensures free access to the publication for all readers, libraries, and research institutions. The open access policy enables maximum benefits for the Author who can freely use it in academia. The open access policy contributes to the publication being available to everyone in the world, and thus high citation rates and academic recognition. ➡️IMPORTANT DEADLINES - TIMELINE ➤ The deadline for sending abstracts (200-300 words) to the following address [email protected]: December 1, 2025 ➤ Text submission deadline: December 30, 2025 (note: this deadline will not be extended!). ➤ January-February 2026: formal and content-related verification of the submitted texts. ➤ March-April 2026: the double-blind review process. ➤ May-June 2026: editing, typesetting, and final proofreading. ➤ Planned publication date: June 2026. ➡️DISCLAIMERS • We reserve the right to reject any texts that contain serious grammatical, stylistic, or punctuation errors. • We reserve the right to publish only selected texts. • We reserve the right to interfere with the content and format of the texts to the extent necessary to carry out the publication. • We reserve the right to change the final publication date. • In the event of collecting a large number of texts, we reserve the right to publish more than one book, publishing the works in two (or more) volumes. • If the printed copy of the book is to be shipped abroad (outside of Europe), we reserve the right to charge the Author with additional shipping costs. • Due to the distant date of publication and rising costs, we reserve the right to increase the publication fee to the degree congruent with the official inflation rate determined by the Polish National Bank since the day of the announcement of this call for papers (July 1, 2025). ➡️FAQ • It is possible to receive a VAT invoice. As a rule, we issue VAT invoices only after payment of the publication fee has been received, except for when participation in the publication is covered by the Author's university or another external entity. If you find yourself in this situation, please contact us immediately by e-mail. We suggest you pay the VAT invoice yourself and request a refund from the university into your bank account. • Publication fee, once paid, is non-refundable (the day of performance of the entire service of enabling participation in the publishing procedure shall be considered the day of payment of the main publication fee). • Copies of the printed version of the monograph can be ordered.
