Opis

馃嚞馃嚙 In June we invite you to take a guided tour in English of the permanent exhibition as part of World Refugee Day. Have you been associated with Praga for years? Perhaps you have only recently moved here? Or maybe you are interested in one of the most fascinating parts of Warsaw? If you want to learn more about the history of Warsaw's Praga district and see our exhibition, now is the time for you! 馃棧锔廦our guide will be writer and long-time friend of our Museum, Jakub Bielikowski. Let's listen to some of his memories related to Praga district: I grew up in Praga in the seventies and eighties. In a modern socialist block of flats which was placed among dilapidated tenement houses from the turn of century, next to a most important private market in Warsaw (if not in Poland) - famous Bazar R贸偶yckiego and between two railway stations (...). Still I got interested in Praga's rich history only 20 years later. I found out about the XIX century factories that I passed by weekly, about different people who lived there - Poles from all corners of the country, Jews, Russians and many others. I saw things vanishing (...). I started to discover our multicultural heritage. That is what I'd like to share with you. 馃棧锔廕akub Bielikowski has grown up here, in Praga, but throughout his life he lived in London, Stockholm, Athens, Cape Town and Moscow. In addition to his daily job in IT he's a spare-time author of historic crime, with some stories set in Praga. His debut book was long-listed for best crime novel in 2021. He has volunteered as a story-teller and guide in the Museum of Warsaw since 2024. __________ 鈩癸笍INFORMATION: 馃暟锔廤hen: 21.06 | 12:30 - 14:00 馃搷Where: The Praga Muzeum of Warsaw 馃師锔廡ickets 10/15 PLN: 馃敆https://shorturl.at/0itpH 馃Are you interested?
