As a photographer, he explores the idea of leisure and its relationship with the sphere of work. During the artist talk he will elaborate on his artistic practices, subjects that inspire him and photographic series „Jungleporn". #Jungleporn Before coming to Poland Pablo Ramírez González worked in the mayan jungle of Tulum, one of the trendiest location for alternative tourism in The Mexican Caribbean, a hot spot for tourist looking for „spiritual experience". A photographic series „Jungleporn" is an attempt to portrait this environment, its contradictions and such issues as neohippie and spirituality. The artist taking part in the residence Overdue Time Off/ Zaległy urlop is fascinated by the relationship between work and leisure time and the topic of modern tourism. 〰 Pablo Ramírez González 〰 Mexican artist was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. The artist has a master degree in artistic production and visual arts. He graduated from the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos, UAEM (Mexico). Less than 3 days after arriving in Poland he encountered the problem of being unable to travel due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The artist has a master degree in artistic production and visual arts. The artist creates many projects which involve local communities, e.g. in 2019 he cooperated with the Identitat collective from Barcelona on the project "Ecosystems of recreation". He did a map for undocumented migrants then. Other projects are mainly intermedia installations, photo projects, murals and artistic research projects. Jako fotograf, bada on relację pomiędzy czasem wolnym a pracą zawodową artysty. Podczas spotkania Pablo opowie o swoim praktykach artystycznych, tematach, które go inspirują oraz cyklu fotografii zatytułowanym „Jungleporn". #Jungleporn Przed swoim przyjazdem do Polski Pablo fotografował dżunglę Tulum, która jest bardzo popularna wśród pasjonatów turystyki alternatywnej. Jest to miejsce przyciągające ludzi poszukujących „doświadczeń duchowych" poprzez kontakt z przyrodą. Prezentowany projekt fotograficzny „Jungleporn" jest próbą sportretowania tego środowiska, sprzeczności z nim rządzących oraz takich zagadnień jak neohippie czy uniesienia duchowe. Artysta biorący udział w rezydencji „Overdue Time Off/ Zaległy Urlop" zajmuje się tematem współczesnej turystyki w szerokim tego słowa znaczeniu, a fotografowany przez niego tropikalny raj zachęca widza do krytycznego spojrzenia na tę gałąź przemysłu. 〰 Pablo Ramírez González 〰 Artysta meksykańskiego pochodzenia urodził się w Guadalajarze. Twórca posiada wyższe wykształcenie w zakresie produkcji artystycznej i sztuk wizualnych. Ukończył Autonomous University of the State of Morelos, UAEM (Meksyk). Niespełna 3 dni po przyjeździe do Polski spotkał się z problemem niemożności podróżowania z powodu pandemii COVID-19. Pablo posiada w swoim dorobku wiele projektów włączających lokalną społeczność np. w 2019 roku współpracował z kolektywem Identitat z Barcelony przy projekcie „Ekosystemy wypoczynku". Stworzył wtedy mapę dla nieudokumentowanych migrantów. Pozostałe projekty to głównie instalacje intermedialne, projekty fotograficzne, murale oraz realizacje o charakterze badawczym tzw. Artistic research projects.
