📸WROCŁAW K-COMMUNITY🇰🇷| MC Residency Finale: Mariam Giunashvili & Marina Pietrocola

🫧This coming Thursday, 𝟐𝟓 September at 𝟕PM, we will meet at the Korean restaurant Oseyo 𝟐𝟓 (ul. Malarska 𝟐𝟓, Wrocław) to celebrate the finale of Marina Pietrocola' and Mariam Giunashvili' photography residency, as part of MagiC Carpets platform. During their September residency, the artists portrayed the Korean community in Wrocław and Bielany Wrocławskie. Their photographs show the everyday life of Koreans who run their own businesses, cherish traditions and create a meeting place for two cultures. But that's not all! During the residency workshops, members of the Korean community picked up cameras themselves to tell their stories from their own perspective. The result of this dialogue is a series of moving photo albums, which will also be on display during the event. ✨ The programme includes: - a presentation of photographs by Marina Pietrocola and Mariam Giunashvili, - a display of albums prepared by the project participants, - a joint celebration with Korean cuisine. 🫧Come and discover Wrocław through the eyes of the Korean community and see how photography can become a language that connects cultures and a medium for wonderful stories. 📍 Venue: Oseyo 25, ul. This new municipal institution supports initiatives, develops skills, creates cooperation networks and organises events exploring various cultural niches. Malarska 𝟐𝟓, Wrocław), aby wspólnie celebrować finał rezydencji fotograficznej Mariny Pietrocoli i Mariam Giunashvili w ramach platformy Magic Carpets. Podczas wrześniowej rezydencji artystki sportretowały społeczność koreańską we Wrocławiu i Bielanach Wrocławskich. Ich fotografie pokazują kulisy codziennego życia Koreańczyków, prowadzących swoje biznesy, pielęgnujących tradycje i tworzących miejsce spotkania dwóch kultur. To jednak nie wszystko! W trakcie warsztatów rezydencyjnych członkowie społeczności koreańskiej sami sięgnęli po aparaty, by opowiedzieć swoje historie z własnej perspektywy.
